Iron Age By: Carson Glodek
We live in an iron age.
No age is golden; winter is beautiful in its own right
you can’t have happiness without sadness as a reference
Capitalism is greed. No company can live without it.
Just as no man is truly selfless.
Wealth consumes those that seek it
leaving them with scared faces.
Business has shifted the role of power.
The war rooms replaced by board rooms.
The churches replaced by governments.
The battlegrounds replaced by Wall Street.
Billions live in poverty, so that Jobs can make his fortune.
So that we can sing “I Want To Be A Millionaire”
But peasants never become kings.
We state our allegiance with the brands we wear.
We are not bronze: bonds of state do not stop murder.
We destroy the environment to fulfill our own selfish wants.
Brothers and friends disregarded in the pursuit of profit.
We have law to temper our ingrown evil.
We are Ironborn.
